Union Budget 2026 में announce की गई India Semiconductor Mission 2.0, India के electronics और AI future के लिए एक game-changing कदम मानी जा रही है। इस mission का मकसद है कि semiconductor से जुड़ी machines, chemicals और gases का manufacturing India के अंदर ही हो। Industry estimates के अनुसार यह market 2030 तक लगभग $400 billion तक पहुंच सकती है। Global level पर AI की rising demand के कारण powerful chips की shortage बनी हुई है और supply chain पर heavy pressure है। Experts इसे India के लिए एक rare opportunity मान रहे हैं। Initial phase में focus global companies की sourcing India से, खासकर MSMEs से, बढ़ाने पर होना चाहिए। India का domestic chip consumption सीमित रहेगा, इसलिए export market को target करना जरूरी है। अगले 5–7 सालों में automation, precision parts, support systems और advanced packaging जैसे areas में India मजबूत बन सकता है। सही execution के साथ यह mission India को global semiconductor ecosystem का serious player बना सकता है।
